Outfit of the Day: Fancy Dress Day

Whoops! 


Looks like I've fallen behind on my blog posts again.

This Outfit of the Day is actually from the weekend before last weekend when two friends of ours got hitched! It was a lovely near-twilight ceremony which occurred amongst beautiful large redwood trees.

As I get older I find myself appreciating weddings more and more. Not because if gives me a chance to get fancy dressed (though I do appreciate that) but because the significance of the day, the immense commitment being undertaken, and the honor of being invited to attend, witness, and as a guest, be part of such a special day in this couple's life. Sorry I don't have any pictures to share from the wedding, but I do have Outfit of the Day pictures. Congratulations to the lucky couple! I wish them a long life filled with love and happiness.


Outfit of the Day:
For this day's event I opted to wear my Pinup Girl Clothing Grace dress by Laura Byrnes Black Label line. I love this dress. It has an excellent heavy weight to it and has a flocked design to it. The bust is fully lined and the bodice has excellent structure. I paired this with my black mohair cardigan and my new black bow flats by Jessica Simpson.

    That dress was surely the perfect choice for a twilight ceremony amongst the trees! You look gorgeous. I love weddings too, I think they're so joyful! And of course the chance to dress up....x

    You have so many pretty dresses! I am so jealous. I love the unusual pattern on this one and I'm a big believer in red for weddings <3 x
