Matching Your Dress to Your Teaware Part 31: Sweet Strawberries for Spring and Summer

Hello Kittens!

It's been a while since I've done one of these perfect pairing posts so I believe it is more than due time for one! When I first saw the new Berry Chantilly print from Trashy Diva released a couple months ago I knew it would be the perfect print to go with my strawberry tea cozy. <3

I bought this tea cozy from Stash Tea about a year ago (unfortunately though it's long sold out now). This adorable knit tea cozy is made in the form of a ripe strawberry and features a mound of leaves and daisies at the top and three cute decorative strawberries dangling down the side. It has a hole at the bottom as well as two holes on the side to be able to pop over any standard sized brown betty shaped teapot. Putting on a tea cozy is like popping a little sweater over your teapot to keep your fresh brew nice and warm as you leisurely relax and sip away.

Trashy Diva Hopscotch dress in Berry Chantilly

This tea cozy is the cutest thing to go with Trashy Diva's new Berry Chantilly print. Launched in early March, the Berry Chantilly print is a welcome sight and reminder that spring has sprung and the warm weather will be upon us soon. This print features ripe red strawberries on and off the vine with green leaves and white blooming spring flowers against a buttery yellow background. White ribbons and dainty parasols whimsically pervades the print leaving one with the feeling of dancing a waltz to the sound of spring and summer approaching.

How perfect a match made all the more perfect accompanied by a cup of strawberry herbal tea or for those on the wilder side, a strawberry infused black tea blend!

*Stay tuned for my full review of this gorgeous print from Trashy Diva coming soonish!

Matching Your Dress To Your Teaware Part 24: Winter Woodland

I'm super excited about today's Perfect Pairing

Not only do I get to bring you a wonderful perfect pairing full of woodland winter dreams but I also get to showcase a blogger that I love and a sweet friend of mine, Holly from Vintage Voluptuous. If you don't already follow Vintage Voluptuous you should check it out now! I love Holly's style which is full of vintage repro and true vintage clothing.

The pictures below are from her post, Curve Friendly Christmas Dresses: The Gilda Dress in Alpine Print by Lindy Bop. While this post was from back before the Christmas holiday I feel this dress would be a fun and festive one to wear all winter long! The alpine scene of this border print dress is so dreamy and fantastical. It reminds me of Disney-esque fairy tales set in enchanted forests. I love the light to dark graduation that the border print makes in conjunction with the white and light green body of the dress. The classic shirt waist styling gives it just the right amount of detailing to work with the border print of the dress without taking too much attention away from it.

When I saw this Handcrafted Forest Trees Teapot made by artist Dulcie Lindsoe-Johansen on the Stash Tea website I knew this would make a perfect pairing worthy of winter woodland dreams! Like the Gilda dress in Alpine print this teapot features a light to dark graduation formed by the contrast between the light green overall body of the teapot with its lower forest scene border design. The classic brown betty shape of the teapot is slightly offset by the whimsical bucolic oversized lip of the lid, lid handle, and rusticly curved lip on the teapot spout giving it a fantastical feel much like the scene pictured on it.

While the Lindy Bop Gilda dress in Alpine is a festive favorite for the Christmas seasons, like the Handcrafted Forest Trees Teapot, this winter woodland is perfect for any cold season day!

Matching Your Dress To Your Teaware, Part 7 Polka Pairing!

In the vintage lover's world, who doesn't love polka dots?!

Polka dots are so wonderfully retro, classic, iconic, and fun! When I first saw the Hell Bunny Red Madden Polka Dot 40s dress pop up on the Cats Like Us website I immediately recalled how I saw a beautiful and perfectly matched teapot on Stash Tea's website.

Hell Bunny's Red Madden Polka Dot 40s dress is a 1940's style bright happy red dress with large white polka dots all over. This fit and flare dress has a high neckline adorned by a decorative collar which itself has decorative silver buttons. Furthermore, this dress also has cute puffed sleeves with faux cuffs, flattering and form fitting pleating under the bust, and a fitted waist that flows into an A-line skirt.

Pair this with the Polka Dot Teapot at Stash Tea and you have a perfect duo for a retro themed tea!

The Polka Dot teapot is a classic brown betty shaped teapot in a bright, uplifting cherry red color. It's spherical body coordinates flawlessly with its white polka dot motif. The lid of the teapot is brilliantly and simplistically topped with a round knob continuing on with the dot motif of the teapot.

These two make a perfect paring! After all, in the vintage lover's world, who doesn't love red with white polka dots!

Matching Your Dress To Your Teaware, Part 6 The Bees Knees!

Summer may be officially over as of earlier this week but before the days become too short and the air outside becomes too cool lets dream of a final tea outing out in the garden.

The leaves are turning brown and the sun is going down as you unwind with a spot of tea... earl gray perhaps?

What better way to celebrate the end of the long day and the beginning of Autumn than with a bee themed tea? Check out the perfect paring between Heart of Haute's Yellow Bees Ella dress (available at Arrogant Dolls) and the Yellow Bees Teapot at Stash Tea!

Heart of Haute's Yellow Bees Ella dress is a super cute 1960's mod style yellow dress with bees throughout the print! I love the bow tie at the neck. <3 Pair this with the Yellow Bees Teapot at Stash Tea and you have perfection ready to brighten any fall day! I love the basket weave texture on this ceramic teapot and furthermore love how it's shaped like a bee hive! So cute and cleaver.

In real life, bees are one of the things I most have an irrational fear of, but these friendly looking bees make me smile. :)

I could imagine how lovely it would be to be soaking up the last bits of chilled golden sun rays as the sun slowly goes down all while wearing this cute dress and pouring from this lovely teapot. <3 Early Autumn days! <3

Matching Your Dress To Your Teaware, Part 5

So today is the day I live up to my blog name!

It's another perfect paring... this time with cats! <3

When I saw this dress on Rebel Circus' website I said to myself, "Hey! I've seen a teapot just like that!!!!" This Folter Women's Black Cats dress in white features an all over black cat print, v-neckline, and contrasting black sash. It also has pockets! But the real draw of this dress are the cute, curvy, and long kitties posed throughout the dress. These cats remind me of sexton cats wall hangings from the 1950's!

Cool Cats Tea For One From Stash Tea, photo: http://www.stashtea.com/Cool-Cats-Tea-for-One/dp/B004ZGKR9E

Imagine wearing this dress whilst taking a sip of tea from this tea for one in a 1950's style living room!

This Cool Cats Tea for One found on Stash Tea's website is a creamy colored tea for one featuring two curvy and long retro sexton-style black cats! The black bordering the saucer, tea cup, and  adorning the teapot at the spout, handle and lid farther mirrors the Folter Black Cats dress's sash as well as embellishes the tea for one perfectly.

These two are truly a puurrrr-fect paring!
