Outfit of the Day: Cactus Rouge

Hello Kittens

Last Saturday the weather was absolutely perfect! It was one of those perfect Summer to Fall transition days where it was warm but not too hot and cool but not too cold. What made it all the more perfect was that Tim and I got to spend the day not just at one but two bbqs! I was super happy to be out and about in this perfect weather visiting friends and so happy as well for this perfect weather as it let me wear one of my more summery dresses but allowed for me to layer it up in one of my most favorite vintage cardigans!


Outfit of the Day:
For this day's activities I chose to wear my new Trashy Diva Bonita dress in Cactus Rouge. I paired this with some (unusual for me) fancier shoes, red Miz Mooz Heloise t-straps, and a vintage cream beaded collared cardigan which I got from Etsy some years back. I also paired this with the most perfect pairing, a cute cactus necklace I fortuitously found in nearby Pleasanton a few weeks back in a boutique shop called Prim Boutique.

Outfit of the Day: Birds and Butterflies

Hello Kittens!

I missed my usual Wednesday Outfit of the Day post but better late than never!

Last weekend I went out for a long over due tea outing with one of my good friends on Saturday. Tea was precluded with a shopping stop at Joanns where I picked up a bunch of fabric for sewing projects which hopefully will happen before the end of this year! After tea we walked around the shops nearby the tea store and did a little bit more shopping-- though mostly the window shopping kind this time around.

On Sunday Tim and I were supposed to be camping but we never made it out there the night before so I was home when I unexpectedly got a call from friends to join them for a vegan lunch. :)

All in all it was a great weekend!

Saturday:
By now you all might be saying, "again!" when I wear this butterfly dress. But I wanted to give it one last good outing before I send it back to its rightful owner who so kindly let me borrow it. I paired this butterfly dress with a brown bolero by Heartbreak (now Heart of Haute) which was my first purchase ever from Cats Like Us. I also wore this with black flats and a wicker cat bag because I had lots of coupons for Joanns to carry around with me!

Sunday:
On Sunday for the vegan lunch I decided to wear my Trashy Diva Lupe dress in Turquoise Birds. I paired this with a pair of red Miz Mooz Heloise T-straps and for a finishing touch a red hair flower.

Outfit of the Day: New week, Two More Outfits of the Days!

Hello Friends!

This last weekend I got out of the house more than has been my usual lately and so I have not only one Outfits of the Day to share with you but two!

On Saturday Tim and I did some errands and picked up some lunch so since we had a couple stops to make I decided to go out wearing one of my pretty dresses! Then on Sunday I met up with some friends for lunch! It's been a while since we've seen each other (Halloween to be exact) so it was nice to meet up and get together for a change. We went to lunch and had some yummy Thai.


Outfit of the Day:

For Saturday I decided to wear my Hell Bunny Evie dress. It was the perfect dress to wear that day! We were having unusually warm, wonderfully sunny weather that day. It was in the low 70s! It felt good to be wearing this dress which is very open and breezy and left my arms and legs exposed to the sun. I paired this with some easy to wear black flats and was ready to go.

On Sunday, seeing as it was a little bit more of a special occasion, I decided to wear one of my Trashy Diva dresses, my Trashy Diva Sweetie Hearts dress! It was supposed to be warmer on Sunday but actually felt a bit cooler to me, so I threw on a red cardigan to go with this. I also paired this with my red Miz Mooz T-straps to dress it up a look a bit. This year I really want to try to wear more of my pretty shoes and not just my usual flats all the time and because we weren't walking far it was the perfect occasion to get out my red shoes!

Outfit of the Day: First Outfit of the Day For 2015!

I've been staying in a lot lately so haven't really had the occasion to get dressed up...

But this past weekend I did need to go to the pet store to pick up some cat food and talked my husband into taking me out for lunch. He asked where I wanted to go and right away I knew... Ihop! I love their chicken florentine crepes!

So we didn't do anything fancy, but since I was leaving the house and not going to work, I figured I'd might as well put on something pretty. :) It was a nice day and warmer than I expected... something like 65 degrees so my heavier jacket was really unnecessary but hey, I wasn't cold and I wasn't hot so it worked out :)

Outfit of the Day- Last Winter Dress of the Year

Spring has officially sprung!

This past weekend we got lots of sunshine and fair weather after a week full of rain. It was the perfect combination to spend some time working on the garden which is what I did all day Saturday. The ground was nice and moist; easy for pulling up weeds and planting some new flowers.

Sunday, being another nice, fair-weathered day, was a good day to spend out and about in a non-work capacity. Tim and I went out to the country and spent some much needed time catching up with some good friends in Sebastopol. The weather forecast said it was going to be warm, 77 degrees, but even still, when I was trying to pick what to wear for the day I couldn't get over the idea of wanting to wear my sweater dress and sweater tights. Maybe it was that there was a chill in our house, or maybe it was just that I really wanted the comfy-ness of a nice sweater dress, or maybe it was because I figured it would probably be the last chance to wear one of my warmer weather dresses... in any case, I opted for the sweater dress and some sweater tights for the occasion figuring we'd probably be indoors most of the time anyway. Also, I figured, usually right after coming out of cooler weather houses in Northern California tend to stay pretty cool for a while. It proved to be a good pick as I was comfy all day and now that the weather has hit the high 70s / low 80s, even around home, it seems likely I won't have any more occasions for warm weather dresses again at least until the next coming Fall.
